Growing an Evangelistic Prayer Ministry

Elaine Helms provides leadership at the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention in the area of prayer.

Elaine represents Southern Baptists on the Denominational Prayer Leaders Network, and the National Prayer Committee. She also helps churches begin and develop prayer ministries by teaching on prayer at state conventions and associational conferences.

Her book, If My People...Pray, Steps to Effective Church Prayer Ministry, was written when she was the Prayer Ministry Coordinator at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. It has been used by thousands of churches across the country.

Her newest book, Prayer 101: What Every Intercessor Needs to Know, was just released by New Hope Publishers in February, 2008.
